How to Use Sweet Peet

As a mulch:

Spread 3-5 inch layer around trees, shrubs, and garden beds. Control weeds without the hassle of fabric or chemicals.

The beauty of Sweet Peet is its versatility. One product for refreshing veggie gardens, dressing tree rings, establishing new turf, and more.

As a compost / soil amendment:

New plantings: Mix 1 part Sweet Peet with 2-3 parts topsoil or potting soil. For poor, heavy clay conditions, increase the ratio to 1 part Sweet Peet to 1-2 parts soil for best results.

Established gardens and beds: Top-dress with 1-2 inches and reapply during the growing season as needed.

For lawns:

New installs: Work in a 1 inch layer before seeding, then add a thin layer on top. Sweet Peet can be used in place of straw and peat moss for better moisture retention and faster germination.

Existing lawns: Apply a thin ¼-½ inch layer after seeding to boost growth and microbial activity. Lightly rake in.
